Digital Citizenship
Caldwell County Schools is launching a series of Digital Citizenship skills and information sessions. The Digital Citizenship series will help students and families become more confident in the digital world. 💻
The first session in the series, Digital Citizenship for Guardians, gives parents, grandparents, and other guardians and caretakers an opportunity to strengthen their digital skills. Digital Citizenship for Guardians will cover the basics (and some specifics) of common Google Suite applications used by CCS, such as Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive.
Together, we’ll:
✅ Learn how to navigate essential digital tools
✅ Get practical tips for supporting students online
✅ Enhance digital literacy and online safety skills
✅ Become more prepared to support students in the digital world
Digital Citizenship for Guardians will take place at 11 am and 6 pm on Tuesday, January 28.
The morning session will take place on Tuesday, January 28,11 am, at Blue Ridge Energy’s Community Room (Lenoir). Use this link to sign up for the morning session.
The evening session will take place on Tuesday, January 28, 6 pm at the Freedman Cultural Center. Use this link to sign up for the evening session.
The session is free, but availability is limited, so don’t wait to sign up for the morning or evening session. Since each session will cover the same information, pick the time that works best for you. You do not need to sign up for both. Bring your device (laptop, Chromebook, iPad, or tablet)!
